Wow - Please, please beware. Supplemental details below but short story: - There is no customer service (phone) line, or representatives. You are instructed that you can leave a voicemail for a call back, or visit online. (I've yet to receive a response) - After numerous in person conversations, requests, and bill's reflecting the correct billing information - Fox still charged incorrectly. I would give these people zero stars if I could. They are a completely shady operation staffed with fast-talking salespeople that you can hardly understand and a series of confusing and deceptive questions and terms that are entirely designed to make you pay a lot more money than you wanted to. Do not under any circumstances consider using this company no matter how cheap a rate they offer. Their customer service is terrible!!! I rented a car from them at the San Francisco International Airport. I booked the rental about two weeks prior to pick up. The representative at pick up made a comment stating how I must've booked a while back because my total was cheap, so he tried to give me a deal so I could pay more. He made a first deal, but I denied it because it was totally unnecessary. Arrived to get our rental we booked at the Denver Airport location . No lines seems friendly . Gave him my reservation and he said "you know there is a traction law going on right now right ? " uh no. What does that mean ? First time to Denver here ... "means you need to have 4x4 or all wheel drive in bad conditions ." "Well I didn't know that . What can you do ? On January 18, 2019, I booked a car with Fox Rent A Car at the San **** Airport; I returned the car back to the Fox Rent A Car parking lot in Terminal B on January 23, 2019 before 9 p.m. I followed the instructions to return the car back to the Fox Rent A Car section. I booked my car rental online and planned on paying for it when we arrived to the Tampa, FL Airport. Online, the total was $202.00 - After waiting in line for 1:45 minutes to get the rental car, the cost was well over $500 to rent. We had requested a Ford Fusion, and the gave us a Jeep Wrangler. The guy at the service desk was rude and told me that if we did not take their car insurance and liability insurance, I would go to jail.... We have rented cars for over 18 years and never had such a bad experience . The car was dinged and filthy. When we went to return it they charged us 80$ for gas even though we had filled before returning. On asking they said it was an error and much too conveniently the systems were down so hey could not correct or give a receipt !! There were other unexplained charges as well ..They charged us a 136$ for a 38$ reservation !! Since our card provides us with insurance we did not ask for any extras.. I have rented over a hundred cars in my life. Two hours after picking up the vehicle at Sky Harbor Airport Phoenix last month, I used the cheap remade key to open the trunk, but the key broke off in the lock. Our luggage was trapped inside as they did not provide us the typical second key. We were 25 miles from the airport. We called Fox Customer Service 2 times and Fox Roadside Assistance 2 times that night. Denied at pick-up the car pre-paid online because in the meantime the credit card was frauded. In such situation one rents a new car with them and in doing so I was charged twice as much! A nightmare experience to avoid.
