Quaint place with great country ambience. The staff and waiter were very friendly. It did take a bit of time to get our food, but it was well worth the wait. Our table had ribs, salmon and a filet and they were all amazing.
This is a very good restaurant. You get a personalized level of service. The food is very good. I recommend it most highly.

After a delay with the opening of the restaurant due to rain and a power outage of the entire town we had a magical experience with some of the best food and service we've ever experienced. I can't wait to return!
The four of us were blown away with Friar Tucks. Every bite of food was delicious. The bar was warm and inviting and featured awesome live music. All of that would have been enough reason to come back regularly. Then to top it off the staff were the best. We felt so welcomed by all and especially Ken. It was a wonderful night .
I love Bistro Night at Friar Tuck's. The servings are just right and always so flavorful. The staff is friends and welcoming. We recieved our food in a reasonable amount of time considering how busy it was. The live music was very nice although the volume could have been slightly lower to allow for guests to chat more easily but other than that, we loved it and will be back again and again. Recommend highly both on bistro nights and regular menu.
Friar Tucks rarely disappoints! Our favorite “special” place to eat in Nevada City! My husband always has the Salmon or any Fish Special they may offer. I love their Chicken dishes or the Prime Rib! Be sure to have Chocolate Fondue for dessert!
Friar Tucks has always been one of our favorite California restaurants ever since we first discovered it 20 years ago. One of the unique things about it is the classic bar and restaurant decor. Additionally, their menu option to do cheese fondue or oil fondue with a choice of shrimp, scallops. meatballs, and beef. Nice restaurant with good service and ambience. The band was a little loud but we still enjoyed ourselves. Chicken Marsala was delicious as was the chocolate fondue dessert!
