The food was very good. The waiter not so much. Had to plead with him for separate checks. We knew other people in the restaurant who recd separate checks. Bus trip. Anyway he did accommodate our request.
Always great food and love dining in Nevada City for the Victorian Christmas!
I was very sad. They did not have the regular fondue and that is the reason I go to the restaurant. I have not been since Covid and will probably not be back. That was the highlight of our trip to Nevada City
We have eaten here before and it was perfect and quiet. This time Victorian Christmas was in full swing. More than 2k people. Somehow with all the chaos and demand they still kept our dinner reservation on time. The food came with in very acceptable timing with everyone including the General Manager working to make it all happen. Crazy busy but they pulled it off. You can’t go wrong and the drinks and food were excellent!
Very attentive service & the ambiance and food choices are wonderful!! I had the baked brie and french onion soup - yum! We ate here before one the Christmas street fairs - highly recommend. Make a reservation and don't be late - we were maybe 5 min after out time and the manager told the front desk to seat those who came early for a later reservation - not ideal...but duly noted.
This was our second time eating here, both times during the Victorian Christmas Festival. To say it was busy would be an understatement! We started with some salads and onion bread, which is very yummy and dense. I had the crispy salmon with the croquettes. The salmon was indeed crispy, yet tender and cooked to a perfect doneness. Others in our group had the chicken parmesan and the beef wellington, ... read more
Excellent! Highly recommend. Great service, food and ambience!
We had the BEST waitress, Amber was exceptional!
Friar Tucks & Victorian Christmas go together! This combo has been our tradition to get in the HOLIday spirit pretty much since we moved in the area almost 10 years ago! Our server Lila was our server and she took really good care of our party of 6! I really liked the way the reservations and seating was handled this year, it wasn’t a claustrophobic feeling as it has been in the past years.
