This was our second time eating here, both times during the Victorian Christmas Festival. To say it was busy would be an understatement! Friar Tucks & Victorian Christmas go together! This combo has been our tradition to get in the HOLIday spirit pretty much since we moved in the area almost 10 years ago! Our server Lila was our server and she took really good care of our party of 6! I really liked the way the reservations and seating was handled this year, it wasn’t a claustrophobic feeling as it has been in the past years.
Service was extremely slow, even for a Victorian Christmas Day. Waitress rarely checked on us and some of our food was cold when served. The steak was seasoned oddly, and not as described on the menu. Our dining companion sat there unable to eat it but also unable to order a replacement meal. Chocolate fondue had a good assortment of dippers, but chocolate was cold. Rather disappointed that the restaurant has moved away from the fondue experience. Only fondue left is a cheese fondue. The meat and chocolate fondue are no longer available. While it is a decent restaurant, it no longer has any special appeal and we will look for another restaurant that has special fun food experiences.
