Julie is the best waitress ever! We go to Friar Tucks for the excellent food and to see Julie! We’ll be back for our 37th wedding anniversary in June. Thanks very much for being such a welcoming place to go!
My husband ordered the Salmon on a Plank and he really liked the flavors. We both especially loved the shredded squash on the sides. I ordered the Twice Roasted Duck with Orange Sauce. The duck meat had excellent flavor, but the skin was not crispy like it should have been. I had to peel it off & put it to the side, as it was very fatty. Our server was attentive & took good care of us, in spite of the busy crowd. We ordered the Maui Pie for dessert and it was delicious, but a pretty small portion for $11. Service was VERY good. Food was ok---clam chowder was very tasty... the potatoes were perfect--- clams were tough, broth delicious & the green salad was fresh. However, nothing stood out. Live music was nice.
The food and service are absolutely fantastic. The ribs are some of the best ones around. What was very nice is the fact that the owner walks around talking with everybody. I highly recommend this place, I will most certainly come back. This is our second visit to this restaurant and worth every bit of it.
Had a 6:30 reservation and the place was not busy. Before we finished dinner the place was almost full. We could hear the live music from the bar but we could easily have a conversation while eating. Nice background music. Our server was EXCELLENT! She was very nice and attentive. Food was good and, for me, a lot of it.
Really enjoyed everything about Friar Tuck’s! The staff were professional, pleasant and accommodating. Aside from being delicious, the portions of the menu items served were generous, not skimpy. We can’t wait to return for another outstanding experience at Friar Tuck’s! 😃
