Had a 6:30 reservation arrived few minutes early no maitre d’ at the front for around 10 minutes. We were told to have a seat and we will call you. Waited in a busy bar area and we were seated about 10 minutes later. There were very few customers seated and I wonder why we had to wait twice before begin seated. Bad start to our meal. My porter house was tough as leather and my wife’s food was bland. The server seemed distracted and not paying attention to our table. My food was delivered without a steak knife and I waited for over 5 minutes for one to be delivered. Our server never came to check on quality of food and the floor manager never did either even when I had to ask her for a steak knife; the floor manager totally avoided us after I had to ask for the knife. We have been to Garrison Oak on multiple occasions, this time was disappointing. We were seated on time with our reservation and ordered within ten minutes. Then we waited over 40 minutes before deciding to leave due to lack of service. The manager stated the executive chief was slow and behind even though it was not busy. Multiple tables complained to the manager for the same reason. Food lacked seasoning completely. Service was subpar at best. Apps were brought out with main course. Way over priced for quality.
We had high hopes as this was a recommended spot by friends. The bread was underbaked with pockets of salt, and huge chunks of garlic. The app was the Korean meatballs, dry and burnt. My steak Oscar had a broken hollandaise, and a ton of shell in the crab. My husbands ribeye was 50/50 fat to meat ratio. Steaks lacked basic seasoning aka salt and pepper.
Food was excellent and our service was good but the kitchen was very slow we were over an hour waiting for our dinner
Not very crowded as we were 15 minutes early and were seated right away. Service was off from previous visits as was the food quality. Our dinner was basically room temperature as I believe it had set for awhile before we were served. Meal took cover an hour and 15 minutes due to server evidently having to deal with more tables than she could handle. Overall not the experience we have had in the past. This was a special occasion so I had wished for a better overall experience.

Short on waitress staff. One waitress had to wait on a lot of tables. Not first class service not of her fault. Management problem. Long wait time to get tea refills after food arrived, Had to ask for desert menu. Did not ask if we wanted to order desert. Food was Ok.
