Bring your patience and plan to spend a good portion of time getting your treatment as the students have to be constantly checked by their instructors. But the quality is just as good as any other mainstream salon. If you are an impatient person, who doesn't understand that this is a SCHOOL and don't appreciate that you are getting an extremely low price for the quality you get, then you shouldn't go. But I have always been happy with the treatment, the customer service and the quality of workmanship the students provide.
Make an appointment early because spots fill up fast.
Just be sure of how much your appointment will cost - I ended up having to pay even more $$. Had I known I would simply have let the group on expire. I had NOT planned on spending as much as I ended up spending.
Lanita was very knowledgeable and professional. I plan on returning for my next haircut, treatment.
Because the Academy is a school, allow more time than usual for a salon appointment due to educators working with and evaluating the student stylist. The benefit is a superior consultation with very careful attention to color and cut!

Wear loose comfortable clothing for hair coloring and cut. Takes a while anywhere, just a little longer here. Have had great results!! Every time. The only place I can afford to go as a senior.
