I bought the groupon for my son. I took him to the appt. he enjoyed himself as he got his hair colored. ALTHOUGH- IT TOOK ABOUT 3 HRS!!!! it was unreal amount of time. I am a big fan of Gene Juarez SALON. Glad to give my son the experience.
The students are guided every step of the way. if a client is patient and willing to work with the student, they can have a really great outcome at a very reasonable price.
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Academy. My stylist was friendly, confident & I felt better having the instructors checking in periodically. I was very happy with how the foil I got turned out.
I gave my mom the 15% off coupon. She had a great experience and service, so she'll be back, too.
My daughter arrived at her appt time, but was not taken in for 45 mins. Her appointment to color her hair lasted 5 hours and was done incorrectly. It wasn't a disaster from visual perspective, but it was very different that what she asked for. They offered to fix it for free. That was an expected but appreciated gesture. The stylist chopped my hair WAY too short and it was very uneven. I had an asymmetrical bob and wanted it trimmed up. It looked horrible, and the instructor was no help. I will never return to the Academy again.
I had a severe (the worst of my entire life) allergic reaction to the hair product and dye that they use. I have never been allergic to dyes before and this made my lymph nodes swell and I could barely sleep for days from the itching and burning even with medication. DO NOT recommend.
Girl tried to give me a pedi by slopping nail polish on my toes after she barely touched my toes to shape the nails...it was so weird I told her I had to leave. The polish was on my skin, my nails were uneven and she did NOT know what she was doing. I escaped
This was horrible. I had to reschedule 3 times before I had the service. Very disorganized and the service was poorly performed, but the young lady was nice. I guess that is to be expected from a school with students still learning.
