Sometimes I get students who don't use good customer service or etiquette. No one has been outright rude, but perhaps just a little immature. If I'm getting color and I'm sitting for three hrs or so, a magazine would be nice. Also if the stylist has to go grab supplies they should let you know and try to make it prompt. There have been many occasions that a stylist simply says 'I'll be right back,' and they take forever and come back empty handed. I generally expected more involvement from the educator for the student working on my hair. I think perhaps you are spreading these people too thin and the student is floundering. The appointment outcome for me was ok, but it was definitely concerning how little the student knew and how difficult it was for them to get help from the educator. The training salon experience is a good deal but it has its risks and I am not sure it is the most effective for getting well trained students (though perhaps I just had a really green ... read more
