So we joined--temporarily...because we didn't need some of their services they offered until the summer and didn't feel like paying the monthly fees while we didn't plan to go...but they facility is really nice. We were shown around and got a great feel for the staff and the facilities that were available to members. The pool, tennis courts and common areas were really nice. Here about a month now and very pleased with the facility and staff. The gym is clean and well maintained. Dear fellow patrons, please clean after using equipment. Overall though this is a great club and gym from what I have experienced in my first month. Will update in 6-months after more observation.

I've been to other gyms and I always feel intimidated by all the equipment and the lack of someone to show me how to use them. Not so at the Gold River Racquet Club. You can ask anyone, trainers, other members, even the front desk for assistance and they are always helpful and friendly. I felt right at home instantly!

I have been a member of the 24 Hour Fitness on Sunrise for the past 7 or so years and was going there all the time to lift weights and swim. The water quality there has dropped over the years and now they're doing some kind of one person per lane policy and that is really limiting. There are only three lanes so that means a maximum of three swimmers at a time? The water is cloudy and my skin gets itchy there so it was time for a change. Clean and friendly. Offers a lot for families, definitely not your regular workout warehouse.
They may not have the most impressive and up to date gym equipment but if you're a tennis lover this is the place to be! Their tennis pros are exceptional!!! I've taken lessons from Marty, Chris Gerety, Amine, Keith, Kelly and Bobby. I would highly recommend each and everyone of them!

Let me start off by saying that this club is definitely worth the 5 star rating I am giving it. I have been a member of the Johnson Ranch club off and on for the past 4 years because it is so close to my home. In my opinion that club has an air of smugness that over the years has gotten worse. So as a result of that, along with the sense of entitlement of the club pro (who disdains any constructive feedback about his or some members of his staffs attitudes,) I decided to look elsewhere. Nice pools. They have two outdoor pools. One primarily used for youth swim team and adult lap swim. Second pool more recreational use but also adult swim aerobics. Both heated. Also has kiddy pool and hot tub.
