We have been members of GRRC for over 3 years, visiting nearly every day for various activities that are offered. The amenities are average, but sufficient. The club has the feeling of a local sports and social club where "everybody knows your name," but many of the staff members do their best to remove that feeling with their lack of respect and kindness to their members. not as nice as Arden Hills. However, I love the tennis courts here! My kids take lessons here for tennis and swimming. We are very happy with the service and staff.
Staff is very friendly and the facility is clean. Been doing masters swimming for about 8 months. Sandy is the best!!! He really knows how to fix your stroke. Great place
What a GREAT place to train, swim, eat, hang out, do yoga, and socialize... Oh, and you can play tennis here, too!! Don't let the name, "Racquet Club" put you off... This is as much a health and fitness club as anywhere else. Don't expect the big, banging, steroid-infused meathead environment here that is prevalent in other places. I joined about three months ago. The facility is kept very clean and there are several classes to choose from. Nice big pool. The cardio room is always nice and cool temperature-wise, which I greatly value. The weight room needs updating but everything is there.

I was filling in as a sub for one of my friends league matches and it was held at gold river racquet club. It was my first time at the club and o my gosh wow is it nice. I thought Johnson ranch was the best club in the Sacramento area due to the amount of tennis courts they had but gold river is definitely up there with them. They are part of spare time racquet club so i shouldnt be too surprised. They have a lot of tennis courts and I liked the layout they had for the stadium court where it dips downward. Went to watch a tournament as a spectator with two other adults and three young children. We were all treated very well and enjoyed the facility. Snack bar was great and well-priced. They could use more chairs during tournaments, but I'm not complaining...the lawn was fine!

Best tennis club in the Greater Sacramento area - plain and simple. Great workout facilities, great tennis courts, great atmosphere, and plenty, plenty of competitive tennis to go around. Of course, you have the stadium court to play on to showcase your skills, but for a more reserved experience, go to the back courts 20 and up (I believe) where the sun shines, the trees provide shade, and the courts are a cool blue. It's a little overpriced. The courts are great, the lessons are great, and the summer camp for kids is amazing. But the problem with this place is probably the hours, the staff, the prices and the snobbery associated with an exclusive club. It must be nice to have so much money that you can pay extra for clean towels and an ice machine but unfortunately it's usually not an option for myself.
