I appreciate the clean pool and hot tub, but even more, I truly appreciate the clean shower facility with plenty of amenities. The patrons should pick up after themselves, even though the staff do an excellent job maintaining the clean and orderly locker room. The youth swim team could be better supervised. I should not be the one telling the swim team members to walk on and around the deck and stop horsing around in the water after practice. Question 1: Why were the swim team youth unsupervised? Question 2: Why didn'... read more

This literally just happened and I'm still quite upset, so please bear with me. My family and I came here shortly after moving to Gold River in hopes of finding a quality tennis coach that was closer to our new house. I had been playing tennis for a year beforehand with a local coach and had memberships to Family Fitness and Arden Hills. Never before have I been more disappointed. In our second time visiting (no one was available to assist us the first time), we were approached by a pushy elderly lady from the sales depart... read more

"The way you conduct yourself on the court, says all." Tennis, tennis, tennis, how i miss thee. Gold River Racquet Club was my childhood and training ground. I would train 3-5 hours a day for 4-5x a week and then i would repeat the process for almost 4,380 days (+/- 200 days). That is not including traveling to tennis tournaments and playing my heart out. Most of the tennis drills at this club consisted of the following: 75-100 serves, 4-5 baskets of machine balls (e.g. basket = 100 balls), round robin and king of the... read more

Too expensive if you don't play tennis. My family joined for a couple of months hoping to play Raquetball. Cost me a fortune and couldn't find anyone to play with.

Today was my first time going here. I just recently moved to the area and used to go to Diamond Hills. Diamond Hills is a brand new Spare Time club in Oakley, CA. Well lets just say you don't know what you got till its gone. I just supposed that all of Spare Time clubs were like Diamond Hills... So it was a shock when I came here. The staff weren't overly friendly and willing to help me like at DH. My main complaint is how outdated and small the workout part of it is (weights and cardio). You would think with the price ev... read more

If you don't play tennis, don't join this club. The staff is rude and very unkind to children. This is NOT a family friendly facility. The only reason we have to belong is because of the tennis facilities - Spare Time is the only big facility around our home. Most people in the neighborhood love Family Fitness which is cheaper and has more to do for the children. They like kids and welcome them enthusiastically. We've been members of Gold River Racquet Club for 15 years and only because we like tennis - NOT because of ... read more
