I met a friend for lunch at Grindstone on the Monon. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Our table was on the lovely covered outside patio. I ordered the Salmon salad which had wonderful salmon accompanied with delicious zucchini bread. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her Beet and Apple salad. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Grindstone on the Monon for great food

Our waiter, Jeffrey S, had a great personality and was very engaging and attentive. Drinks were refilled promptly, and plates were cleared as soon as we were finished — unlike many places where service can feel rushed or inattentive.

We do all of our family dinners here. We commented last night that none of us have ever had a bad meal here. The staff is always so nice and efficient. I highly recommend Grindstone on the Monon.

It was a great night as a couple. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The service from Brewer who was our server was attentive and fun. What I noticed was a very young couple on a date. One of them either worked there or the son of someone who worked there. The entire waitstaff stopped by and hugged or said hello. I believe that the team is a family and care about each other which is why I also believe I felt cared for as a guest.

We showed up for our reservation 45 minutes early (yeah, I know) and they still managed to get us in before our original time after only a 20 minute wait, which was definitely a pleasant surprise and not at all the expectation. Our server came over to get our drink orders pretty much right away and she was consistent and attentive for our whole stay. Enjoyed restaurant immensely. Noise level was a bit much, however, as we were seated by a large table of men whose laughs were loud guffaws. It was hard to carry on a conversation until they received their food and 'shut up' a bit.
