To be fair, Grindstone had only been open for a couple weeks when we tried it. However, the waitress did not seem to know what items were on the menu (she seemed surprised by my choice of salad dressing even though it was one of their options), the food came out in strange spurts (2 of us got our salads and one had to wait another 15 minutes or so for his), and she made several mistakes in the orders (one friend asked for no cucumber and, instead, she brought a salad with cucumber, but no cheese; she asked if we wanted crout... read more

Upstairs seating should be eliminated- too noisy and dark Excellent gr/fried tomatoes No plates for appetizer even after asking for them No spoons and fork for cake/ala mode Poor service ( first day ever waiting tables or on work release?), 1.5 hours total spent for a 50 minute dinner
