Had a reservation for 5 pm on a high hat table ,got there and none were available, told the server and got seated in a booth , then got a email stating I had not shown up for my reservation, not happy with that , prime rib was not very hot , this was not a good experience for having a reservation and getting seated in the back , been to this restaurant many times , Not a good evening
Had an older, new waitress who had trouble hearing when she took our drink & food orders. We had to repeat orders several times. We had to ask her numerous times where our cocktails were and she said the bar was backed up. Not my problem...they need to hire addl bartenders, after all it was a Sat evening. Took quite awhile to get our food as well. Double hamburger was mediocre and you could tell they were frozen patties...tasteless too. French fries were cold. My friend got the fish and chips, and it was literally the saddest looking plate I’ve ever seen. Portions are small and it’s overpriced. I got the apple stuffed pork chop. Very bland tasting with zero flavor. I think cardboard would taste equivalent to the pork chop. The ambiance is nice, and a neat layout. However, with tons of restaurants to choose from, this one shouldn’t be on your list.
This place has great potential and it looks great. We like to drive a little way for a unique spot like this but our service was poor and the food was very average. We took a party of 6 but I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it to others.
The food was okay, nothing memorable or rave-worthy. Two in our group got the prime rib sandwich and ended up scraping the prime rib off bc the taste wasn’t to their liking. I had the honey bourbon chicken and it was a bit heavy, but the flavors were good. We did try out the dessert menu and the chocolate cake was delicious! I’m fairly certain our server was drunk. The food was cold and sent back and someone forgot to season literally everything. I was really hoping to like this place but it was loud, the server was slightly obnoxious and the food just wasn’t that great unfortunately.

We were seated on the second floor which was very dimly lit, excessively noisy (from the diners on the first floor,), with the temperature of the room being very cold due to air circulation being "breezy". The food was just "ok"; service was slow. A disappointing experience.

This was our second time there and our service this time was horrible. We sat down at 6:00. No one came to our table until 6:10. We ordered waters and 2 beers. 10 minutes later at 6:20 we were brought our waters. I watched from upstairs as our beers sat for 10 more minutes. Although our server was terrible, there were so so many other servers that could have ran the drinks but they just kept looking at the ticket and moving on. We got our appetizer that was really good. To be fair, Grindstone had only been open for a couple weeks when we tried it. However, the waitress did not seem to know what items were on the menu (she seemed surprised by my choice of salad dressing even though it was one of their options), the food came out in strange spurts (2 of us got our salads and one had to wait another 15 minutes or so for his), and she made several mistakes in the orders (one friend asked for no cucumber and, instead, she brought a salad with cucumber, but no cheese; she asked if we wanted crout... read more
