Good quality work Never a problem
Started good, ended bad. We had multiple properties with them, and went through atleast 3 different installs at 3 different locations. Early on it seemed we got lucky with the right Techs, but as a few years progressed we began seeing numerous problems and errors with what we thought were corrected problems, and really were just basically lazy craftmanship. Sad IT's Just Sad I've used Guy Smith since about 1969. In all the years we have had nothing but honest workmenship. Sure we had to pay a service call once for the service person to come over after hours and turn on out Gas furnace. IT was our fault we turned off the emergency switch by mistake. For those that cry rip off when you had to pay a service fee for their opinion I say SHAME on you. Too high We asked for an estimate on a replacement system for our HVAC which had a burned out compressor. The technician came out and gave us the highest bid out of the seven contractors which I called for estimates. I was at work when he came out and dealt with my wife. He wrote up the estimate and then he said he would try to find out what was wrong with our system (my wife told him it was the compressor) and to add insult to injury, he charged us for a service visit. Incompetent Wish I would have seen the negative reviews of this company before choosing them. Hope by posting all these the company learns a little to improve its customer service. They installed new AC unit last summer and it leaked. Guy Smith customer service was awful. Took it leaking 3 separate times and 6 different technicians before they found the source of the problem which was a simple, routine step that was not done properly or thouroughly when unit was installed. BAD SERVICE, CAN'T TRUST We used their services and had to call them again. They came and said that something else was wrong then wanted to charge for a service - just for showing up and telling us what was wrong! Do not waste your money on them. I would not even give them a star.
dishonest in every way Immediately tries to sell new unit. Wastes time in attic taping duct,tries to sell new duct saying mine was too short. Charges $99 for 30 min in attic, was there for 15 min. Called office,they said Ken Smith went home sick.I left msg, he never called me. WORTHLESS company.
AC Service Call Made appointment for AC tune up on 4 May and technician didn't show up. I was told technicians were behind and would not be able to get to me. I rescheduled for 5 May and technician didn't show again. Didn't even receive a phone call letting me know. I had to call and that's when I was told. This was very inconvenient not to mention the time I lost from work. Would not recommend to anyone.
