Everyone at Harbor Animal Hospital has been GREAT since I first contacted them in 1989, to see if they could draw my dogs blood who was on chemo for lymphoma even though they weren't the treating doctors. I completely switched because of their compassion for animals and humans. Best bunch of people EVER! I love them all and so do my dogs!!!

The staff and doctors at Harbor Animal Hospital go above and beyond providing care for my pets. The staff are great to work with; very professional and caring. They always greet me by name and ask how my pets are doing. The doctors have provided exceptional care to my pets whether it is for a yearly exam, health issue or terminal care. I have been going to Harbor Animal Hospital for more than 30 years. They have taken care of several cats and five dogs of mine. They have always been good to me and compassionate. As you know, the veterinarian is where you go when your pet is not doing well. They understand how people feel about their pets and how they are family. I live in Racine and my vet was closed on a Saturday. My dog accidentally got poked in the eye and it was tearing some. I drove to my mom's in Winthrop Harbor and she had me call Harbor Animal Hospital where she takes her dog. I was treated with such professional care from the moment I called. My parents used this vet and now I do. Every experience I've had with them has been smooth and easy. I've brought my dog in to have a cyst removed from her back and also a kitten that was extremely sick. Both are now extremely healthy and doing fine thanks to them. My cat actually likes to come here believe it or not. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
I recently had to make an emergency visit to the hospital with my older cat. The staff was very helpful in explaining all that my cat was going through and the options. My old friend is no longer with me, but I will definitely bring any new adoptions to them.
Sadly my cat of 18 years needed to be down after a stroke. Having not been to an animal hospital in years as he was an indoor cat I called one or two places for rates to euthanize and discovered the office fees as well as other fees were almost $150.00 or more. Not that I was being cheap I just knew there was no alternative so I did not see the need to pay an office visit on top of the fee to put down. I've been taking my cat and dogs to Harbor Animal Hospital for five years and my experience has always been positive, even at the worst of times. When I had to put my dearly beloved dog down, I was treated with great compassion and patience. He developed cancer and the poor guy couldn't tell me he was suffering so I we had him checked out too late to do anything.
