I am writing this because I looked to see iif my previous review was still there and I see it has been removed . Long story short , my dog almost died and was left blinded due to the incompetency of the vets at Harbor Vet .My dog was repeatedly misdiagnosed with first allergies then pneumonia over the course of 3 visits . He had blastomycosis ,I asked that he be tested for that as we walked regularly in the woods . they said it was an expensive test and they were sure it was a heart murmur and pneumonia. I called to make an appointment for today for anal expression. None available, when she found away to get more money for the appointment by saying rabies was needed, voila she can come in on today. Very odd phone call left me feeling weird.

Sadly, after having taken our pets to HAH for years, we recommend my elderly and fiercely independent (89 year old) mother in law also use their office to see her senior dog. Most working in any medical field, animal or human healthcare, understand it requires a little patience when working with the aged, put this office does NOT! They even went as far as to condemn her in writing for inquiring about their high billing (after she paid them in full). This is an update to my previous review, but for some reason the 'post review' button does not seem to be working. I had notified HARBOR that I would not be bringing my pet there anymore and asked them to forward his records to another vet. So now I get a card in the mail saying according to our records... And that he needs his Leptospirosis vaccine. This is interesting because it's a yearly vaccine and he just had it there at HARBOR on January 10 of this year. So that's how unorganized this place is. I have been with Harbor for 20+ years. I do not know what happened there. I only know the wonderful people who used to be there left enmasse and chaos ensued. I have tried to maintain my relationship with Harbor Animal during this change and clearly the business is struggling. Today my relationship with this business ended with 2 hang ups by the staff. I found this vet when we moved to Wisconsin almost 2 years ago. It was just 20 minutes straight down the road from us across the state line in Illinois and had great reviews. All my pets have gone here and it was wonderful. Then a few months ago it went downhill. Now suddenly every time I call I get a busy signal. Worst animal hospital I have ever wasted my money at. Forgot to actually do and give me multiple things I paid for, long wait times, never answers phones, sends home INCORRECT medications for other patients (which could potentially kill my dog), and no one seems to have any idea what's actually going on. Complete lack of communication and common sense from the main lady doctor on staff AND the technicians. I don't typically like to leave bad reviews, but I am hoping Harbor Animal Hospital can use this as motivation for changes and improvements. I recently had 3 bad experiences, which lead to this review. First bad experience was when I scheduled my elderly cat for a checkup. They recommended an ear cleaning, which I obliged. We picked her up, and she was crying and running into walls. When we called, they indicted they must of punctured her ear drum. She passed away a few weeks later.
