Very rushed and they didn't know what they were doing. Very long wait time and then in and out. Wonder if my pet actually got what I paid for. I know I had to return food because there were 2 open cans. Will not recommend to anyone. You should see a vet that values your time and not just your money

Business response:

Hello April J., Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're very sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. We promise we're doing everything we can to minimize wait times and we greatly appreciate everyone's continued patience. We continue to assess our process as we want both our clients and their pets to have great experiences at our hospital. The worst animal hospital I've ever visited. Exams are about 15 seconds long, the vets don't communicate well, nobody seems to give a damn about your animal, and no one seems to be able to use critical thinking or even have the patience to discuss alternative treatment. As long as they're taking your money, all is good for them. I'm ditching this place and finding a vet that cares.

Business response:

Hello Alexandra K., Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are so sorry to hear about your disappointment with us. The essence of our values and who we are all start with patient-centric compassionate care. For this reason, your feedback is particularly troubling and we would like to connect with you so that we can make things right. We value you and your pet immensely. Would you allow us the opportunity to look into your visit by reaching out to you offline?

Not a fan of this place. There's a lack of communication on what you're paying for at the end of visit. The result of visit is unclear and the male vet didn't seem to care about the situation at hand. The nurses were nice when needed, but manager had to come in and tell me I was gonna end up paying for more than I was told about for my new puppy. They try to convince you to pay for more than the necessities and worry about pay more than your pets health.

If you take your pet here; do NOT let them be seen by the male Veterinarian. After 2 days driving back and forth and spending over $1000 the woman Veterinarian finally figured out what was wrong with our dog, which I told him I knew was the problem when I came in initially. I had the Male Vet tell me he was fine after X-Rays (can't read them apparently) and prescribed medicine I could've bought over the counter. Next day of course the medicine for the incorrect diagnosis didn't work so we had come back in and spend more mone... read more

We don't like this place. It is within walking distance from our home but we now go to another vet. This place always tries to nickel and dime you.

I called these people for an estimate and I was a bit disappointed, I was in search of a reasonable rate here is what I asked? how much will it cost me to do surgery on my Dog,the dog has a few tumors under her chest wall which is non cancerous these tumors are under the skin, well lets say we were at one thousand dollar and going. I found a clinic in Antioch Illinois, and here is what was done to my animal for starts annual shots, blood work for surgery, meds, plus he through in teeth cleaning and all for around four hundre... read more

I would never bring my animal to this place again. Expensive!!! All about the money. Even if your pet doesn't need anything, they'll find a way!

I am new to the area and my dog became extremely ill over the holiday weekend. Harbor Animal Hospital is close to our home and has walk in hours Mondays so we went. The staff and the Vet. were extremely distant from both myslef and my dog. They did not even pet or speak to him during the exam. The vet. recommeneded a series of expensive blood tests and promised the results within 24-48 hrs. That time has now lapsed and when I stopped by the office to check in I was rudely informed that they send the blood work out and ... read more

Since I live nearby, I thought I'd give them a shot. I brought my cat in for a routine checkup and the doctor who saw me was a bit cold, if that's the right word? Just not very friendly or engaging. Oh well, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe they were having an off day. Anyhow, this doctor tried, I felt, to pressure me into all kinds of tests and products (expensive, not routine ones I might add) for the "benefit of my cat" - who's quite healthy and I had this past vet records to prove this. Being that I'm ... read more
