Great Food, happening place - good place to be part of a new "Scene" in Brookhaven. Like their atmosphere and the bar scene very much.
This spot easily ranks among the best of the best of the Atlanta restaurant scene. The fried oysters, truffle hay, and the CAB tenderloin are exquisite in flavor, texture, and balance. Other dishes do not dissapoint. The atmothsphere is both intimate AND chic - Haven is therefore appropriate for a first or fiftieth date, a meal with the 'rents or with the boss. We had a group of 6, and our table was a perfect size! Not too big--we could all talk and hear each other, but we weren't crammed together either. Service was excellent and super helpful with all our questions. And, of course, the food was great!
I have been to Haven many times over the years, with large groups, as well as just as a couple. Service has always been great. The quality of the food is consistenly very good. The one suggestion I would have is the wine list. I guess that ownership is trying to keep wine prices reasonable, but half the wines are pretty basic. It would be nice to see a more interesting variety of wines, such as French reds, Napa cabs, maybe a couple of more choices of Pinot Noir. They are paying attention to all the elements that make for a memorable dining experience. Great service from our waiter Gordon made our first visit a great experience.
The place was booming and the food was outstanding as usual. Gordon, our waiter had lots to do, but still made sure the two of us were well taken care of. We shared a caesar salad which was served with warm lettuce. Fabulous. I had the Scottish Salmon that was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband had the pork shoulder /the Special that he said was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. We did not indulge in dessert, as we were too full from the meal
We loved the ambience of the restaurant, happening but not too loud. It is not often that there are so many amazing entrees and little plates on the menu that we can't decide what to order. The food was outstanding & we will return. The grilled caesar salad was incredible as was the crab cake/crab soup. The Lemon Ricotta Tortellini was amazing.
