Love this restaurant. One of my favorites in the city.
We took our guests to Haven as they really enjoyed the food during their previous visit. We were very pleased to know that our waiter was Gordon, who has always been our favorite waiter. As usual, he did an excellent job waiting on our table, and we had a wonderful dining experience.
We loved it and will be back. Great Brunch!
Haven was a cute restauraunt at first glance. Once we got seated, I realized that all of the tables were very crammed and close together. The acoutics in the restaurant were not good so the noise levels were high. Since we had a party of 6, it was hard to talk to the table without screaming. The service and food was fair, but we all felt for the price it should have been at a higher standard. It seems like they ran out of key ingredients and substituted them for something else-so you didn't really get what you ordered.
Wait staff knew the menu well, and the food was excellent.
Been several times and love this place, the food is good, interesting, and creative. The portions aren't too big and everything just always tastes fresh and clean. The desert doughnuts are amazing :)
We went with a business-social group of six. Each one of us was very happy with the taste and quality of the food, and the service was terrific.
I was really excited about trying this restaurant and I was slightly disappointed. The menu was great and varied but the prices were a bit high given location and quality of food. The dish I had was lemon ricotta tortellini - no lemon flavor to speak of and the fava beans were all wrong. My husband's trout was perfectly cooked but he was disappointed that the grits had corn in them. We had an early reservation - 6PM - and had the outdoor patio to ourselves for nearly 30 minutes! Quiet and lovely, comfortable even on a very warm May evening. The food was fantastic, especially the gazpacho and soft shell crab small plates. Service was also just great - attentive without being obtrusive. We'll be back for more!
