Heartland for small business Heartland was good for all of our needs. We only switched when we went corporate and had to because our company is now using the same as the other corporate hospitals. PROS The customer service was really good and they were very responsive. I never had to wait to hear back and any issues were resolved quickly. Heartland Payroll is a great time saver/great customer support. We are able to control how much we spend on each and every month. Additionally, Heartland Payroll includes a self-service portal where employees can easily access their pay stubs and W-2 forms, hence saving a lot of time for HR departments.
