Room size was great for her and cleanliness was good. Staff activities was more than adequate, varied and often customized for individuals. Meals were satisfactory but several times the food was not warmed or chilled properly. The trays were prepared well in advance and stored in insulated compartments for 1- 1 1/2 hours before serving. Staffing was often short. On several occasions, in her short, stay I had to visit the administrative office to report that staff would not answer her room request for assistance. Meals were often prepared well in advance and therefore cold. Several times staff were delayed in answering calls to her room. Otherwise, the staff were professional and friendly. Whenever the staff noted a problem with my mother I would receive a prompt telephone call at anytime of the day or night.
We were very pleased with our overall experience with everything at Heritage. There were quite a few glitches along the road as I'm sure any place has. The facility was kept very clean! There were times when the smell was a bit overwhelming coming from some of the apartments but again that is to be expected as well. The staff was amazing! Heritage Elm Grove takes great care of my dad. The staff is caring and responsive. The facility has a comfortable and welcoming feel to it. Staff is engaged.
The staff are good to work with and supportive of my loved one and family. My expectations of a memory care have changed since my loved one has been there. I'm more realistic now. There are some residents who try to conversate with my loved one when they are able to. It would be nice to see more vegetables with the meals that are served to the residents.
It's a very friendly place and very clean. They were very helpful answering any questions and things like that. The care was very good, and they did everything they were supposed to do.
My mom loved the food that they served and said everyone on staff was very friendly and welcoming to her. My mom is anxious/introverted so she did not participate in activities that they had provided.
The facility is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and their meal plan is great. There are a lot of activities there, such as - bingo, musicians who visit periodically, visiting speakers, movie nights a couple times per week, and a lot more. The community also comes with a bistro bar on the second floor, a deck for the outside area, a kitchenette that's open for friends and families to bake cookies or host a family gathering, and a library with a nice dining room table to gather if you want to bring in food. This is a great place to place your family members. The staff are caring, attentive, and keep the family informed of any updates about our loved ones. My loved ones are enjoying the food. There are choices for meals, and snacks provided to the residents and there are three meals served daily.
