I loved the vet himself. I don't really remember his name. Although what made this experience terrible and painful was the lack of sympathy from the vet techs who did my dogs bloodwork. I took my chihuahua in for a UTI. And at first they were trying to bill me 900 dollars which is absurd. But, it was the lack of care for my dog which made this awful. My dog has no teeth, so her tongue hangs out. My senior dog is very sensitive and doesn't do well with people besides me and my boyfriend, and I told them that. But when they to... read more
Another disappointing visit at Highland Eldorado Veterinary Hospital. I made the difficult decision to switch veterinarians after my prior visit so I called to get a copy of my pet's most recent blood test results. I was told I needed to sign a consent form, which I agreed to do. I asked if I could stop by to pick up a copy of her blood work from last December. When I arrived, the records were not ready, and I was told that Dr Taylor has to review the test results before I can have them to make sure the results are accura... read more
Business response:
Hi Linda, we appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration. Our veterinarians review all records, including lab results, as part of our longstanding policy and in accordance with state regulations. This does not indicate that the bloodwork was not reviewed in the past. Our priority is to ensure accuracy and provide the best care for your pet. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay in getting your pet's records. Thank you for your understanding.
The staff isn't very customer service focused. I found them pretty short and not very friendly. They didn't tell us about the cost of tests they were running until after they did them. The typical visit charges also seemed expensive compared to other vets in the area. After running tests, they never called with the results. We had to call and hunt them down. After not really getting a diagnosis, we ended up taking our cat elsewhere.

Hello Amanda W., Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are very sorry to read of your disappointment and wanted to reach out to you directly, however, we were unable to locate you in our system based on your Yelp username. The incident you've described is also unfamiliar to our team. Amanda, if you're open to talking, please call/email us at 833-888-0354 or feedback@VeterinaryCaresandConcerns.com. We hope to hear from you soon, and more importantly, that your cat is well.
Friendly and fast service No headache with filling out lots of paperwork. I initially called bc my puppy was having diarrhea and not eating. They told me to switch his food brand and suggested I purchase some food from there and wanted to do fecal test to check for worms. They ended up saying he caught a parasite and gave him 2 medications. The nurse said they had to do the expensive fecal testing just to be sure He then stated I should purchase training for my dog and I politely declined I had to ask for the amount ... read more
We added two new pups to our home this past summer and while we spend a lot of time traveling and not the kind where you're surrounded by amenities on every block. We vaccinated on time from six weeks- five months when we were officially back in Mckinney for the pups to meet Dr Taylor...we were criticized for vaccinating on our own and not having them do it, they refuse to put it on their shot records so it appears as if they've had no shots, they didn't hesitate to spay both our pups last month but today refused to do a nai... read more

Hi Alicia and Mike - We know it must be frustrating to have provided care to your pets but then find that it cannot be officially recognized. We can't tell you how much we valued getting to know Louie, Pierre, Ringo, Apollo, and Duke over the years and we wish that the relationship we cultivated with your pet family could move forward with the best possible outcome for Boda and Curie's health. Our rigorous vaccine requirements for your dogs are exactly the same as those we maintain for all of our other patients, and this is ... read more
One thing I look for in a review is caring staff. Dr Taylor and one of the techs were nice and caring but Dr Taylor has only been there 1 time out of 6 or so visits. The other vet and staff just act put out and unhappy. Discussions over charges in a wide variety of situations, managing a chronically ill dog, have always managed to leave us feeling defensive. Moving on to a Vet who at least pretends to care about our animal and the expense of managing a long term illness.
My dog had a HORRIBLE experience at this vet clinic recently. They completely traumatized him while he was there for a procedure. They were supposedly removing his IV catheter before releasing him, while I was in the waiting room to pick him up, and suddenly I could hear him screaming bloody murder (not normal behavior for him). When I heard his loud screaming, I begged to go back to help calm him down and they REFUSED. They said he wouldn't come out of the cage for the staff, but then refused to let me go back and help get ... read more
The staff does not listen to your concerns or when you try to tell them about your pets pre-existing condition. It ended up costing our sweet girl her life and my husband and I will forever blame ourselves for bringing her here for a "routine procedure"....only to get a phone call stating they had lost her and "do you want us to continue to try life saving measures?" despite the fact that we had already signed off on YES in cases of emergency on the standard pre-op paperwork.......PLEASE DO NOT let your pet suffer the same f... read more
Something that has always been important to me is how veterinarians treat you when your pet dies. Our dog was treated by Dr. Taylor. I do believe he made the correct diagnosis, but unfortunately our dog's condition was too far advanced and she went into crisis and had to be euthanized by Dr. Taylor. We were so upset at her passing, yet we did not receive any kind of sympathy or remembrance. We've had many animals over the years and have had several euthanized, but this is the first time that we have not received a card, ... read more
