Great staff and service at this vet! Very accommodating with fitting you into the schedule. Also, once an established client the will answer questions and concerns over the phone. The interiors are newly remodeled and look great! Plus there is a small retail area up front with toys and food for sale. Highly recommend!!!

Most. Expensive. Vet. Ever. All Vets can get pricey, but these guys are waaaay over the top. Why so greedy?? And they take a full 2 hour lunch daily. Huh??

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the cost of running a veterinary hospital has significantly increased over the past few years due to multiple factors. As a result, we subsequently have had to increase our prices to offset these costs while still ensuring that we can continue to offer exceptional veterinary medical care. We always offer a variety of diagnostic and treatment options for our clients so that they can select the option that best works for them and their pet. Regarding our current operating hours, our... read more

Scam Artists! They have been doing my pets nail trim for years but because they are not her primary vet because they are overpriced, they will no longer do a nail trim. So in order for them to see her going forward, $121 plus plus. Ridiculous!

Business response:

Dear Kimberly, We are very sorry to hear about your concern from your visit. One of our practice owners has reached out and left a voicemail for you. Thank you for reaching out to us so that we can discuss this further.

My dog was diagnosed with valley fever and given medication. After the mediation was gone, our dog still wasn't himself. We took him back to hillside and spent around 900 on labs. No one ever called us, followed up and we never were given results. Now, one month later I took my dog to a different veterinarian. Sure enough, my dog still has valley fever and should have been on a continuous refill of the medication. My dog is very sick as the valley fever went untreated for weeks. Do not take your pet to this veterinarian.

Business response:

Dear Heather, I am very sorry to hear about your concerns. I was not able to find your information in our system; however, please feel free to contact me to discuss your concerns further. Unfortunately, Valley Fever often requires long term treatment and frequent follow ups to ensure the treatment is successful and that additional treatment is not needed. Please feel free to reach out at your convenience. Sincerely, Kate M., Practice Manager.

The employees are very pleasant and professional, however, in my opinion , the owner , Brad Rosonke, is unprofessional as it speaks directly re conducting himself with me , in relation to an incident where my puppy did not receive the proper attention & care, hence suffering pain & discomfort . He refused to acknowledge his staff had, in my opinion , unintentionally improperly injected my puppy with a rattlesnake shot, resulting in a huge lump coagulating in his spinal area. Rosonke refused initially to drain the lump, a... read more

Business response:

Don, Hillside Animal Hospital takes feedback seriously. Our number one goal is to offer exceptional care and service to our patients. Our doctor team is treating our patients with the utmost care, compassion, and dedication. Just like humans, there are occasions when veterinary patients may experience reactions to medications or vaccines. Unfortunately, these situations are outside of anyone’s control. A member of our team connected with you offline yesterday; however, if you have additional questions, please do not hesitat... read more

As nice as can be about telling you what they have already done, and then giving you the Bill. No consultation prior to treatment. Wouldn't bring my dog out until I paid the "follow-up visit" of $125.00. "Your dog's eyes have healed since your last visit, they just aren't quite healing as fast as I would like. Let's go ahead and schedule another follow-up visit." Well, I know I am seeing more clearly now.

Business response:

Dear Scott, I am very sorry to hear about your concern from your recent visit. I reached out and left a voicemail for you to call me back at your convenience. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further and resolve your concerns. Sincerely, Kate M., Practice Manager

Update: After being critical of this Vet's practices and an experience we had they now do not want to treat our dog with cancer after working with him for 5+ years. Instead of discussing the issue of why they were criticized they just say we prefer to not treat a sick pet with cancer and go see another Vet. Please consider your choice of Vet and never make a complaint to this business as they prefer business over caring for a sick pet. We have taken our 3 dogs there for several years and although the care was good, the... read more

Business response:

Dear Sam, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry that we were not able to accommodate your original request regarding price matching when you spoke with our team in August. When we learned that your preference was to find a new veterinarian, we reached out and explained that we would be happy to send your records to your veterinarian of choice, as well as discuss any patient care with your new veterinarian. Please let us know how we can help to make the transition to your new veterinarian as smooth ... read more

This hospital in truth should get 0 stars. They butcherd my beautiful, sweet 3 yrs one month old manx cat, Romeo just one yr. ago. I'm just now able to talk about it. We asked the Tech. not to use an anal thermometer due to his breed. She became so angry at our arrogance she threw the thermometer down on the table. That should have been a clew to get out of there. The vet diagnosed him with bladder stones, She did the precedure in 2 days, which I now know was wrong. We took him home the 1st. day. He cried and could ba... read more
