There is a constant need to review your bill. Hocon would constantly overcharge then I would have call and get the price adjusted. Recently, when propane is selling for $2.50-3.00/gallon they charged be $8/gallon on a refill! After 2.5 years, that was the straw that broke my back. Very Disreputable Company, In February 2020 we purchased a fireplace log set from Hocon Gas ( Gary was salesman). Project was a nightmare from day one. Installers were unlicensed, unprofessional, showed up late, did shoddy work and left a mess. Original log set was inoperable and had to be replaced. Replacement set was used once or twice before spring came. Tried to light log set in the fall and did not work (December 2020). From the General Manager ******* I called and spoke to customer. We are going on Wednesday 2/17/2021 to look into why the fireplace is not working. Customer was dealing with Gary and he was the person that they spoke to in December. Customer opened account in November 2019 Rafael set tanks and ran line on 12/6/2019 On December 12/19/2019 Shawn install the fire log set and from the very beginning there was an issue with the fireplace. Very disappointed with customer service. Had someone come out to service my gas log. Nothing wrong with the service, the problem arose when I received the bill. First I was charged a $4.99 fuel fee and then a $15.99 supply fee. When I called to ask about those charges, I was told the fuel fee is standard. I wouldn't mind as much but I live 2.8 miles away. That's an awfully large fuel fee for such a short distance. And the supply fee turned out to be for 4 AA batteries. When the serviceman was there, I told him I had 4 AA bat... read more

While the service and propane from Hocon is fine, I have had repeated issues with overcharging. One invoice had billed me over $6.00 per gallon when every other propane company was charging in the low $2.00 per gallon range. When I called to inquire about the high rate, I was advised it was an error and they rebilled at a still high rate, but lower than the initial rate. The Average has been anywhere from $2.60 per gallon to $3.00 per gallon for the last year. You use 270 gallons per year. If I sold you gas for the price you seek someone who uses in excess of 1000 gallons would be very upset with me if we gave them the same price that you want.
