Only one person at the front desk upon check in with a lot of people in line. It took me 25 minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel; it took me 45 minutes to check in. Also the room was not ready which is surprising because the hotel texted me at 4am asking me what I needed and I informed them I would be checking in at 3pm and they assured me the room would be ready.
You can walk everywhere and there is food nearby.

Average Stay – Great Location, Needs Refresh We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Times Square, booking three rooms for our family. Overall, the experience was average. The location is excellent—close to major attractions and a great value if you’re traveling with a big family needing multiple rooms. However, several aspects of the hotel are overdue for an update. Excellent customer service staff was extremely helpful
Management should test the mattress more often! Overall the Holiday Inn Express was good. We had a "broken" mattress that should have been replaced before the room was booked. Had to sleep upside down in the bed to get any relief from the dilapidated mattress. Didn't find out until we went to bed after midnight after a day of walking all over the Garment district. There was no effort to make it right for us, only an apology for the inconvenience :(
