This place used to be called Showbiz (I think) and would when I'd come visit home we'd periodically go see a movie. It's called Hooky now. Personally I don't care for the name change. We attended the 1st showing on a Sunday. The place was clean but it's very very disorganized. The staff had ZERO personality and no one had any idea what was going on. They no longer participate in a rewards program. All my elevate points are worthless. They charge $1.50 online to use a card to pay. In the past, we would come and get tickets to save that. Now they are using kiosks that don't have a way to log into your worthless membership AND they charge $1 to use your card to pay. Are you serious? I saw Superman on their "IMAX" screen and it was just bigger, sound was no better. Save your money, make popcorn at home and stream something. It's better that way! I'm never going back... read more

Bought two tickets, popcorn and drink. During the previews the screen was flashing red , blurry and so dark you could barely make anything out. I told the guy at front about it twice, another person in the theater told them three times and the guy behind me told them once. We ended up having to walk out after 25 minutes of the film. P Nothing was ever done . Was told they planned to change the bulb after the movie ends.... So yeah, totally wasted 30$

The place refuses to accept cash! Legal tender no longer works here. We had a horrible experience and won't be returning. There are plenty of better options around. Don't go here if you wish to have a good experience.

It used to be good before it closed for the pandemic. Now nobody seems to care about keeping it up. Popcorn is usually stale. Everything is sticky and gross. Seats need to be fixed. They're in bad shape. We took the family bowling and the automatic bumpers for the kids didn't work, the ball kept getting stuck on the way back, and each time it happened it took minimum 10 minutes for anybody to come to fix it. We ended up leaving after the third time.

We have been here for movies and never had an issue. However, we decided to try them out for bowling and we will not be back for that. We bowl often and we are on league as well. The Lanses have no wax on them. Went to bowl and did not slide at all, fell and skinned my knees. If you can't properly bowl you risk of hurting you hips and shoulders are at a great increase. Told them and was informed that their machine was broken. But they are aware of the condition. I paid for the service and Im ok with that. But we will not be ... read more

I couldn't even focus on my movie because the entire time I was trying not to touch the disgusting seats with my arms. Smelled like pee and the seat squeaked if you tried to rock them. Super uncomfortable. Will not be returning.

2 movies in reg. theater: Seat are in bad shape. Padding is shot. We put napkins over the arm rests because the disintegrated faux leather was flaking and sticking to us. We didn't lean back because headrests we're in the same condition. In SXD theater watching Thor: Love & Thunder: not any different, just a little roomier. Sad, because we relocated from Clear Lake to Mount Belvieu and thought we'd found our movie home
