worst movie theater in area of boynton beach, delray beach and boca raton. Third time in a month that we went to a movie and there was loss of sound or movie froze. Awful service. Place is falling apart. Horrible or no mgt. Worth the drive to go elsewhere. For free I would never ever return SHAME SHAME SHAME

On a school off day, February 18, 2026, I took my grandsons to Hooky Entertainment on Lyons Rd in Delray Beach to see GOAT. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly unimpressed and will not return. Firstly, the women's bathroom lacked paper towels, and upon using the hand dryer, I was dismayed to find it was clogged with mold and dirt. Literally just wrote a 3 star review (which was an improvement from my previous 1 star review), and wouldn't you know it, they canceled our movie, Greenland 2, at the last minute without explanation. I just opened my phone to pull up the order as I walked in and noticed it has been canceled. No email, no text. No heads up of any kind. This is the third time that something like this happened to us at Hooky. More scam. Left multiple messages at number. No one replied. Visited the theater, spoke to manager Glen who said Ashley doesn't work there and tough luck about the deceptive promo.

Fraud! Lots of signage at theater and online that all movies are $5 all day every Tuesday. Until you try to buy tickets and find they are $15.75. they don't know the meaning of EVERY TUESDAY. Dec 30 doesn't count. Fraud. Liars. Do not give them your money.

If i could give this place a 0 I would tbh. I'm not someone who goes out of there way to bash a situation. But this is a pet peeve that some businesses need to learn from. Came to view a late night movie, arrived a few minutes late.However, with past experiences in theatres like Regal, it's not a worry or a challenge to enter the theatre. This movie theater is horrid. My husband and I, have been here once before and had no complaints, but this was before it changed management. We first went to the bathrooms which were not well kept. Then, when we entered the theater, it had not been cleaned from the movie before. Drinks everywhere and empty popcorn bins. Absolutely gross. Not only that, they didn't even start the movie on time. Someone had to go out and remind them to start the movie. Definitely would not recommend.

come on hooky's I know you guys can be better every movie I see here I noticed moths flying towards the light that the projector gives off. besides that DO NOT see a movie in the SDX because the multiple movies that I saw don't fit the entire screen. This past Tuesday wanted to see the early showing of weapons so early morning I checked and it said 1030 showing. Past two weekends there was no food available to order. Everything was "out of stock" on the menu except for popcorn and candy. We were quite disappointed as we had planned on eating at the theater and paid for premium seating.
