Anniversary weekend We had been to Hotel Del many years ago and had a good experience. The hotel itself is very nice, restaurants and the whole atmosphere was really nice. My only complaint that the service could be better at the check in registration, it always took awhile to just ask a question and they were not very informative in helping when needed. Out of 5, I’d give it a 4.5. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and they were wonderful every time. Sure, it’s pricey. There are renovations going on but honestly that never bothered us... by the time they started we were out and about for the day and the ended around dinner time. Our first two nights we stayed in the cheapest room possible and you could definitely tell it was the cheapest room possible. It’s an old hotel, but I wasn’t expecting it to look as old as it did. Access to beach. Food a bit pricey but it’s Coronado.
Great location. Beach chairs and umbrella rental very expensive. Can’t get a drink at the tiki bar without an entree. No restaurant after 11am
