We visited the Del for a brief getaway in late October for an infusion of sunshine before winter fell in Central Washington and the hotel exceeded our expectations.

The property overall was nice but was construction everywhere and that was not mentioned when I booked. The main pool was closed for construction so getting a chair at the one pool opened for everyone was difficult.

Mixed reviews Totally neat to be at this historic hotel, but they’re doing massive construction beginning at 7am and not bothering to give their guests advanced warning. So we had a rude awakening on our day off, which isn’t ideal especially when we didn’t know we should be preparing with an earlier bedtime. The food was pretty awesome every place we tried. The spa facilities were good and our masseuse was great. The room was nice but not luxurious (which you’d kind of expect for the price). Overall a mixed bag for our stay.... read more

The location is amazing. The Del is undergoing some much needed renovations, but the construction crew gets started at 7AM every morning and it's a lot of heavy equipment, etc. In all fairness, for the prices they charge they might want to let people know how disruptive this is going to be. And $50 a night to valet in addition to the $30 "resort fees" that include I'm not sure what?
