While everything was expensive, the food quality was amazing. There was plenty to do - even while the resort was going through a major renovation. Loved the entire experience!

Finally stayed at the Del and was disappointed I have always wanted to stay at The Del but it’s so expensive I have always put it off. This October I finally decided to suck up the cost and do it. Although it is a beautiful, historic hotel on a gorgeous beach in a cute little town...I was disappointed! Mostly because THE POOL IS CLOSED! There is a small pool by the villas that can be used but the whole main pool area is closed. There was also very loud construction going on the whole time. The Hotel Del Coronado is historic (read old) and in a prime location on the island. That’s it however and you will pay a premium for these 2 things ($1,800 total for 3 nights). We stayed in the newer ocean towers which are dated and in need of updating. There is major construction underway on the entire property and the large pool is closed. The construction noise is unbearable and we asked to be moved to a different room within 30 minutes of check in. The employees spin the construction as “property enhancements” but certa... read more

My room needed refurbishing. Makes the property feel neglected too me. Just sremed old and out of date.
