Gorgeous but wait until construction is over I had wanted to stay here for a long time. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were fantastic. Loved the dining and the location is perfect. However you are not made aware of the fact you may not stay in the historic building and may be in a block of apartments next door that have dated old furniture overlooking a construction site. Amazing stay... must go Best stay during our honeymoon. Staff was friendly, accommodating and overall pleasant. They were always smiling and apologetic because of the remodeling.
Hotel del Coronado is an outstanding place to stay. The staff is very friendly and professional.
The location of the hotel is spectacular. The beach is awesome. The property is tired and the service is ok. Food is very average at best but they charge like it is amazing. Since Hilton took it over they nickle and dime everything (although maybe its more like dollars and fives) from a $5 cup of coffee to a $20 pre-made sandwich to $100 for a beach chair! Better look for a co-signer if you want something special like a bon fire or a lounging couch.
The property was beautiful. The room was OK, the bed was very uncomfortable, and there was bubbling paint.
