I just had a vitrectomy surgery to repair a hole in my retina. He explained everything that would happen including recovery. Nursing staff is knowledgeable and kind.

I have been seeing Dr. Civantos for years. Have had eye problems since the 90's. Lived in Harvey at the time and started my care at Illinois Retina in Harvey. Moved to Romeoville in 2001 so I switched to their Joliet office where I met and became a patient of Dr. Civantos. He is an excellent doctor - very kind, extremely thorough, and explains things very well. I have total faith in his judgement and care. I give him 5 stars!!

I appreciate doctor and his staff. I have always felt good about my visits because everyone is very cordial. There was one visit that a nurse had a issue with me because she accused me of having COVID-19. She basically kicked me out even after my insistence of being negative. I wasn't going to go back but in the end I decided that Dr Civantos had helped me a lot and I didn't want to risk undoing all the work that was accomplished.

Professional and efficient staff. Reasonable wait times. Dr. Civantos always takes time with his patients.
I get shots in both eyes and have for years. The eyes have improved a lot. The office is clean, friendly and the staff is very nice. They explain everything and tell you all your options. I recommend them to everyone!
