Kathy and I are profoundly grateful for the exceptional medical care and friendship ofDr. Civantos over many, many years. We attribute our eye health to his remarkable giftsas an ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina. We each have serious eyediseases and believe that we should not be in the health in which we are today withouthis care and wisdom. As the son and grandson of surgeons I believe that I can say thatDr. Civantos is a doctor's doctor
Dr. Civantos is a good doctor. My only criticism is that he does not take the extra minute or two to ask if I have any questions or concerns. He comes into the treatment room to give me my injection for wet AMD and seems to want to leave a little too quickly instead of asking me if I have anything that I want to ask him about. I have to quickly stop him as he is on his way out the door if I want to ask him something. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice if he would take that extra minute or so.
I was able to get in for an exam right away and quickly for surgery to save my sight
Explains condition progress and uses latest medication to assist in providing best results in my macular degeneration.
Appointment right on schedule with minimum waiting time. Treated with courtesy and professionalism throughout the whole time.

Dr. Civantos is professional and friendly and really takes the time to explain to you your condition and answer all of your questions. The office is clean and spacious and the staff are a delight to work with. I have been taking my nephew there for a couple of years and have always been pleased with the service.
