No packing material? The package arrived on time. The package arrived squashed and with a hole in it the size of a quarter. The valve was however unharmed but the nut and the handle were loose in the package and could have been lost thru the hole. A little newspaper would have gone a long way. I would not hesitate to order from this vender again because of the price and the service were top of the line.
this is the thrid installed the other two have been in service in a salt water pool for 8 years still working great in fact this is the only thing in this system that I have not had to replace due to failure 3 filters 4 pumps one 400000btu heating element etc Of note everything that has failed was made by Hayward this is the only Jandy item in my system possibly will be converting to full jandy system with each subsequent failure
These Jandy valves are way overpriced. This valve does the job, but like all other Jandy valves, it is way overpriced. Zodiac has a monopoly on these valves, and this is why they are able to get away with charging so much for them. It's not like they are made out of titanium!
Built to replace I made the mistake of using a number of Jandy parts throughout my pool equipment. I don't mind paying the price for something that will last but Jandy does not offer that kind of quality. Never again.
It does the job I bought a house with a built in pool and spa. The Jandy valves were already installed. While looking for a leak I over tightened one screw on a valve and cracked the plastic housing. As a result when the pump is not running air leaks in to the plumbing and fills the plumbing and pump with air. When that happens the pump is not primed and cannot filter the water. My bad!
