Disappointed Will not recommend only 30 days after purchase water leaked and the spa water drained down and way over price for it to only last 30 days pass on this one
Leaks and doesn’t work as designed. I wanted to like it because it is the only valve I can find that has little to no restriction on the volume of water it passes. Unfortunately it doesn’t stop the water in the opposite direction which is the whole purpose. In a vertical installation it recommends 16 inches of plumbing above to help seal the valve. Didn’t matter 24 inches didn’t even work. So chlorine can slowly drain back in to my pool heater with this valve

A nice product, if it didn't fail after two years Purchased this item 2 years ago. Similar to other reviewers, the spring mechanism has rusted and failed. They need to engineer a more corrosion resistant spring mechanism or just sell the spring mechanism as an inexpensive consumable part. We closely monitor our pool chemistry, so that the water is always balanced and properly chlorinated, and I doubt pool chemistry was the fault. This was installed upstream of a trichlor auto-chlorinator, not a salt water system.
Jandy Check Valve Ordered this Jandy Check Valve January 11th and had my Pool Service Company install it on January 23rd. Valve worked great for almost 20 days and then wouldn't seal off and pool fountain feature would drain when feature turned off every night. Opened cover to find everything in working condition...no rusts or debri but valve continues to leak even after checking and flushing several more times. Now I'm back to looking for a better check valve.

Contacted Zodiac Customer Support concerning my problem with the check valve leaking after only 20 days use and after providing them with a copy of my receipt, they are sending me a replacement flapper valve. Look at the other brand instead The spring inside the check valve rusted within the first week. As a result it left rust stains in the bottom of anything that had standing water left in it at the end of the season before winterizing. Had the other brand that looks practically identical but did not ever have this issue. Would not buy again.
