Works as expected Jandy pool valves remain the best. This did exactly what it was supposed to to which in my case was to keep the spa from draining down when the pool pump was off.
Nice construction, PMable I considered spending $8 at the hardware store for a generic version of this. The difference is you can take this apart while inline and replace o-rings and gaskets, and you can disable it for the winter. Very quality workmanship.

Used these before, they're excellent check valves The valve was shipped quick with Amazon Prime. I have to say I was a bit confused by the size description: 1 1/2" to 2". I figured if it wasn't what I needed I'd just return it. I needed it for an 1 1/2" pipe and it works perfectly. The 1 1/2" pipe slides into the openings on the valve. I guess if you use the valve with a 2" pipe, the valve will slide into the pipe. Highly recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why do these check valve leak by the flapper seal? An Amazon supplier from FL shipped me a USED Jandy check valve. This is a used 1.5 -2” valve that was packaged in a brown envelope, no documentation, or packing. It was dirty and leaks. I’m returning it and hope I get a NEW Jandy valve that doesn’t leak. UPDATE: I returned the valve and the replacement came today, it also leaks past the spring loaded flapper seal. You can do this yourself!!! Save the $$$ Pool contractor wanted $300 to replace this. I literally just bought this and took out the screws in this one and my old one that was leaking and swapped the new valve into the old house because I didn't want to cut the PVC pipe. I took a couple of pictures of the old housing with the new valve in it. Took 15 minutes. Works great.
Disappointed Will not recommend only 30 days after purchase water leaked and the spa water drained down and way over price for it to only last 30 days pass on this one
Leaks and doesn’t work as designed. I wanted to like it because it is the only valve I can find that has little to no restriction on the volume of water it passes. Unfortunately it doesn’t stop the water in the opposite direction which is the whole purpose. In a vertical installation it recommends 16 inches of plumbing above to help seal the valve. Didn’t matter 24 inches didn’t even work. So chlorine can slowly drain back in to my pool heater with this valve
