It was so easy to replace and has been working so well We bought this system to replace the one in our pool that had recently stopped working. The local pool companies were going to charge us anywhere from $1000-1500 to replace the salt cell with a different, cheaper model or $2000 to replace the entire salt system. We decided to take a chance and order this product to do it ourselves. It was so easy to replace and has been working so well!! I would definitely recommend trying to replace this on your own!

Great seller This is more a review of the seller than the product. We've had this salt cell in our pool for some time. The seller was great making sure we got the right product so we could DIY.
They work but watch and clean out calcium buildup with acid and pressure washer. Better than adding chlorine to you pool every week. Costs about the same as adding chlorine manually but less work. They last 3 to 5 yrs. So figure this plus circuit boards and rarely adding salt vs adding chlorine every week for 4 yrs. So, less work; but, not much saving vs adding chlorine every week.
Great Replacement Option for the PureLink, PLC 1400 Cell Looks to be good. All necessary parts are there and the delivery was made in good time to Hawaii. This is the second replacement cell I have purchased. They last about one and a half years on Maui. We have very hard water and constant sunshine 11 months a year. I have to run the converter about 10 hours a day at 75% plus during the hottest months of June thru August, so the cell is worked to the upper limits. It appears Zodiac has improved and made the sensor a little more durable by embedding the salt and flow sensors tabs in hard plastic and moving the temperature sensor to inside the plastic housing.
