This one drops in great, with a minor improvement to the system -- it has an inline status module instead of the little circuit board in the picture. This is nice because I can see what's going on without opening up the metal box.

Great unit. Love saltwater Stupid contractors line coated original but they really have a 5 yr life anyway. Installed at beginning of season and the pool hasn't been clearer in years. Perfect balance all summer long with no intervention from me.

but the directions are good. The unit is exactly what I needed and ... This unit comes with an upgraded Flow/Temp/Salinity Sensor. My old sensor, which is only six months old, generated an error message after installing the new salt cell. The directions for installing the new, upgraded sensor were intimidating, but made sense after reading them several times. The unit is exactly what I needed, and performing flawlessly. The upgraded sensor is an improvement over the prior version.
