Joey Burrard is one of our favourite places for a late lunch or happy hour--great selection of food for our collection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friends; great atmosphere; and honestly the best servers of any of the many restaurants we dine at (and that includes the other Joeys!). Awesome experience We don’t have a Joey’s or an Earls where we live on Vancouver Island So, when we are in Victoria, we go to Earls, and when in Vancouver we go to Joeys Husband had the cod, with crispy rice, an amazing curry sauce, cauliflower and snap peas. Amazing dish Chef Mills !! Message to Jeff Fuller …. Can you PLEASE consider a Joeys or Earls for Nanaimo ? Cactus is sooooo busy Gracias !
The setting is fun and elegant, but also comfortable and unpretentious. The menu is excellent: it has something for everyone: it's interesting, unique, has an Asian twist, and has the best fish tacos we've ever had. Many fun, healthy, decadent and creative international-fusion options! Had a great time!
We had the most wonderful server called Cameron and I would like to say a huge thank you to him for his kindness and care for my family last night. He truly was so kind and caring and honestly could not have done anything more to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

The food was great, but the noise level was terrible.
