We eat at this Joey's almost weekly and never have a problem. Unfortunately this visit was not like that. One of the guests ordered the Salmon Bowl but before ordering he asked if the dish was at all spicy. The server said it was not spicy. The Salmon Bowl arrived and both the rice and fish was spicy. We requested plain white rice, which we got, and the guest tried to finish the salmon but it was still too spicy so he did not finish it. This is where things went sideways. The buffalo wings that I ordered did not come with the blue cheese dressing described on the menu; instead it was a mixture of an Asian infused dressing WITH the blue cheese. It was a terrible combination, not sure if this was an honest accident, but it had an awful taste. The presentation of the food was nice. Server was attentive and helpful. Unfortunately I had a poor experience here due to the staff at this location. Upon entering, the hostess did not make eye contact with me once and was whispering something and looking down. I had no idea what she was saying. I'm assuming something about my table? She then walked away so I assumed that meant follow her but again had no idea as I could not hear a word she was saying and I was unsure if she even spoke. We waited over 30 minutes for wine to arrive. Apparently only their managers could open a bottle of wine at the table and only two managers were on staff. Our server didn’t know what a decanter is. Food arrived and looked beautiful but my steak was well done when I ordered medium rare. I showed the server who agreed that it looked well done. I had gift cards to use. Otherwise, I would never go to Joey's. The drinks are too expensive and they don't "do" 3-ounce martinis. Food was alright though. Happy hour food prices may not be exorbitant, but still not enough value to bring me back. For this kind of money, I would go one step up to Fortes or Blue Water. As it is, I'll go a quarter step down to the Keg!

I used to come to this location a lot for events, birthdays, and dates but in all honesty my experience has been going down more and more every time I come in. Generally I make a reso in advance so it’s not too hard to get a table so we promptly got sat in the lounge when we came in.
