Everyone is very friendly and offers to help regardless of what position they are assigned. The sales staff followed up to see how she was doing after she moved in. Residence are very friendly and very active right within her building. I think it's been a good place. My mother-in-law lived there for years too. She had a good experience too.
What we like the most about John Knox Village is that it is a real community, mom had never been in a 'community setting' before, and it was great, restaurants, neighbors that got to know you, and a very thoughtful administrative staff.
The nurses at memory care 2 proactively give info to family. Both MC1 and 2 are open to receiving phone calls and they give info when requested. I knew I was going to need independent living, assisted living and memory care and all that comes after. And JKV offered discounts for starting at Independent living. Bought in for the discount.
We love the place. They were very easy to work with from the beginning all the way through the move in. We chose this place because of Location first and then the niceness of the staff.

Very good people, everyone is always kind. The facility is in a great location! It was also close to family and friends which makes it easy to visit.
Would definitely recommend. We were attracted to them because of the location near our home, additional services like shuttle bus, wide array of restaurants, ALL employees seemed like they actually WANT to work there

The staff is quite amazing. It is nice that they have an in-house physician dedicated to AL & MC. We were able to do Hospice in her apartment. Very nice that John Knox has varied levels of care available. Do not need to find a different facility when needs change. Communication with staff was great. The staff had a good rapport with my Mom. Value for cost is a really good value! 6!!! Friendly hall mates is what [name removed] likes. Just people planning to do all kinds of stuff together. Sense of community.

Liked the friendliness of staff, but there were some cleanliness issues in his room. Also, medications were not totally in line and communications with doctors were lacking
