I think the facilities are really amazing, although slightly outdated. I find that most of the staff is extremely helpful, and we haven't run in to too many issues. The biggest issue we've had is a faulty toilet in my grandma's apartment that hasn't been fully fixed and we've constantly had to get maintenance on. The staff is not really available on weekends, so we often can't get any maintenance done then, but that's probably pretty standard. The bus line runs constantly and my grandmother uses it often. The only facility that was willing to work with my husband and my schedule. We toured on Saturday without any issues, or offer to text a video tour/email video tour first. This is sister-in-law's first choice, and we will be putting down first month's rent ASAP. I have done this line of work (LTC across the continuum) in sales, marketing, and administrator--[Name Removed] was FANTASTIC answering our questions and getting into our "value bubble". We like the options and Yes we would recommend John Knox Village to others
All 5's..... she loves it there. There are a lot of activities on a daily basis, there is help of any kind always available. We like the security and most of all she is happy to be there.
What we like the most about the community is the friendliness and yes we would recommend John Knox Village to other families based on the experience so far.
Everyone is very friendly and offers to help regardless of what position they are assigned. The sales staff followed up to see how she was doing after she moved in. Residence are very friendly and very active right within her building. I think it's been a good place. My mother-in-law lived there for years too. She had a good experience too.
What we like the most about John Knox Village is that it is a real community, mom had never been in a 'community setting' before, and it was great, restaurants, neighbors that got to know you, and a very thoughtful administrative staff.
The nurses at memory care 2 proactively give info to family. Both MC1 and 2 are open to receiving phone calls and they give info when requested. I knew I was going to need independent living, assisted living and memory care and all that comes after. And JKV offered discounts for starting at Independent living. Bought in for the discount.
We love the place. They were very easy to work with from the beginning all the way through the move in. We chose this place because of Location first and then the niceness of the staff.
