Dr Balch is very professional, friendly and great surgical skill
I cannot recommend Dr Balch more highly. Facing Knee Surgery for the first time is a unnerving experience but Dr Balch has all the qualities you would want in a surgeon: As well as his re-assuring and lightly humorous nature he exudes both competence and confidence with a supreme knowledge of everything related to the procedure and recovery from it. I only want Dr Balch to perform my second Knee replacement
I am thrilled with my total hip replacement. I am so thankful I chose Dr. Balch as my surgeon. I cannot imagine better care.
I felt Dr. Balch was very professional in helping me understand my hip replacement surgery both before and after. I really appreciated the web site that was used for me to check in each day and get feedback from Dr. Balch. I’m two weeks out of surgery, and my pain level is mild. I feel like I’m making progress in walking, sitting, and getting in and out of bed. I’m looking forward to my follow-up appointment on Wednesday, May 15th.

I would recommend Dr. Balch to my family and friends because he has been through in keeping me informed on what to expect every step of the way. I am 2 weeks out and I can walk unassisted, even though I still us the walker for safety and will switch to a cane today. I think he has done a good job and I look forward to my first follow up appt tomorrow. Also, I just like him. He is confident and friendly.
My experience with Dr Balch and his SCOI staff has been excellent. Dr Balch was thorough in his examination of my knee issue. He took the time to explain exactly what my problem was, as well as proposing solutions. Once I chose surgery he was again thorough in explaining what this would entail. I felt comfortable and at ease going into surgery because I fell Dr Balch fully prepared me for both the surgery, and the outcome. I highly recommend Dr Balch
