This is not a monte cristo it is a soggy French toast sandwich. Seriously the worst monte cristo I've ever had and the most expensive. Ordered through door dash and everything arrived soggy because they couldn't be bothered to open the tabs to let out the steam. I was left with a soggy goopy mess of a monte cristo, fried pickles, and cheese crisps. $60 wasted never again. Don't waste your money.

Service was slow at best , we got our food , but it wasn't as ordered and the waitress seemed to be more interested in the table behind us. French toast was lackluster and the omelette which was supposed to be a scramble never happened. Oustide seating was great and location is clean and new , But this is just a place to go to get breakfast when every other option is CLOSED! Nothing about Katz' Galleria screams New York , Jewish style and one would think the French toast would be Challah phenomenal , It was Mr's Baird's ... read more

I have always liked the Katz chain, but this location is the exception. This location is brand new and I would hope to see it thrive under new management.

I have eaten at Katz in Austin for a Christmas diner and thought I would drop by and see if they had a Thanksgiving meal. They said yes and I said okay. When I got home with the food I was totally disappointed. The meat was deli meat and two carbs, dressing and mashed potatoes, carrots, brown gravy and cranberry sauce not berry. Not what I expected. The meal in Austin was delicious and Katz himself was there.

We walked in excited to try the new location. Immediately, the hostess was unsure where to seat us. She said nearly every table in the place needed bussing. The hostess then complained that they would have to bus tables in order to find a place for us. No problem, we said, we would sit at the bar. Well, the person working behind the bar kept her back to everyone while she was washing dishes in the sink. No one was going to get a menu or any service. Finally, we decided to leave. Terrible service. Unfortunately, this locatio... read more

Went yesterday for lunch because I was craving NY Deli food and especially a chopped liver sandwich. I was shocked to find out that Katz had completely revamped their menu. No more real Deli food. No chopped liver, blintzes, matzo ball soup, ..... Highly disappointed as they have turned into another Jason's Deli except with 3x the price. Looks like Kenny and Ziggy's from now on for me. THATS real deli food. My last time ever going to a Katz.

The good: Beautiful location with spacious outdoor patio for the kids to run play and adults to catch up on sports via the TVs. Customer service was warm and friendly and the food arrived promptly. Plenty of reasonably priced kids meals with many options for sides and drinks. The bad: Food was just not good. Sweet potato fries came out cold, chicken hero had chicken that tasted like rubber and bread that was clearly frozen heated and then soggy. Fried potato thing was so incredibly salty it was almost inedible. Nobody loved... read more

The space is shiny, clean and new. As we walked in expectations were high for the new foray in efforts to spruce up a steadily declining Westheimer. But, alas, those hopes were dashed when the food arrived. We're not much for pastrami or corned beef - maybe those items are winners for people so inclined. We took the kiddos. Generally over-salted and sweetened was the theme. Felt like we stepped back 15 years, and not in a good way. Lemonade was Minute Maid - gross. Orange juice was concentrate. Smoked salmon ... read more
