well I have to say I had high expectations based on my experiences in the past, but maybe there's been a change of management or kitchen staff. I was very disappointed in the Matzoball soup, which used to be wonderful. What I got today was nothing like the chicken soup I've had there before. Used to be made the old fashioned way with real chicken and all the nutrients. Today what I got is made with chicken flavored soup base and dried vegetable bits and much too much salt. Not even real chicken soup!

I ordered the corn beef on rye signature sandwich and my wife ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. We ordered it vi Uber eats and it was cold. The fact that it was cold I can forgive but the bread was dented like someone squeezed it before it was placed in the package and the sandwich barely had any meat. The bread tasted kinda of stale too. My wife's so called soup was a two or two and a half ounce plastic container of soup. It was also cold. Her sandwich was okay. Me and my son went to the Katz's near the Galleria. It's a nice looking restaurant and it was our first time there. I had been going to the one in Montrose for years. My son ordered a chicken sandwich which he enjoyed but me being in a Jewish deli ordered a corned beef sandwich on rye bread. Messed up my order twice, to go server gave misinformation, & was working so fast/not paying attention she threw away part of my order. Had to pay up-charge & wait an additional 20 minutes for to go order. Wasn't offered a discount or even a drink by the manager while I was waiting. This was all on Thanksgiving so after my 8 hour shift essentially my Thanksgiving meal was ruined. This was my first time visiting this location and I had the worst customer service experience. Our overall experience with our server was good. She was very polite and provided good customer service. However, when asked for a small shot of simple syrup to use for my ice tea, it became a problem. Our server provided me with the simple syrup but also delivered the message from the manager at charge, this will be the last time we can do this. Security could definitely use some better people skills, he walked up to us at the bar after we placed a to go order and he was aggressive for no reason. Everytime I come here he's standing out front literally doing almost nothing, so why wouldn't you have the patience to approach customers in a way better manner than what you're doing. It's just ridiculous & makes me not want to return or at least avoid any interaction with him like I normally would. After a long while ot eating here because they gradually removed the menu items I loved the most and then "patted me on the head" when I reached out to urge them to reconsider (I was told I was only one person and made to feel like they didn't really care whether I returned or not and I ate there 6 days a week for breakfast for years and years). Went there tonight the security and staff where very discriminative towards me and ask me to leave even after I ordered to go ..would not recommend this Katz try a different location

Horrible service! Danny was no help! Been here' since one and didn't even get our drinks on time now they can't bring two drinks the bar tender forgot To make! I think it's cause they pick and chose the type of people they serve! One star just cause I have to leave one to make a review' also Kairra was a horrible server and also said she isn't going to lose her job because of a bad review'! She forgot to put our drinks in and is running around like she doesn't know what's going on lol this place and service is a JOKE
