Me and my son went to the Katz's near the Galleria. It's a nice looking restaurant and it was our first time there. I had been going to the one in Montrose for years. My son ordered a chicken sandwich which he enjoyed but me being in a Jewish deli ordered a corned beef sandwich on rye bread. Messed up my order twice, to go server gave misinformation, & was working so fast/not paying attention she threw away part of my order. Had to pay up-charge & wait an additional 20 minutes for to go order. Wasn't offered a discount or even a drink by the manager while I was waiting. This was all on Thanksgiving so after my 8 hour shift essentially my Thanksgiving meal was ruined. This was my first time visiting this location and I had the worst customer service experience. Our overall experience with our server was good. She was very polite and provided good customer service. However, when asked for a small shot of simple syrup to use for my ice tea, it became a problem. Our server provided me with the simple syrup but also delivered the message from the manager at charge, this will be the last time we can do this. Security could definitely use some better people skills, he walked up to us at the bar after we placed a to go order and he was aggressive for no reason. Everytime I come here he's standing out front literally doing almost nothing, so why wouldn't you have the patience to approach customers in a way better manner than what you're doing. After a long while ot eating here because they gradually removed the menu items I loved the most and then "patted me on the head" when I reached out to urge them to reconsider (I was told I was only one person and made to feel like they didn't really care whether I returned or not and I ate there 6 days a week for breakfast for years and years). Went there tonight the security and staff where very discriminative towards me and ask me to leave even after I ordered to go ..would not recommend this Katz try a different location

Horrible service! Danny was no help! Been here' since one and didn't even get our drinks on time now they can't bring two drinks the bar tender forgot To make! I think it's cause they pick and chose the type of people they serve! One star just cause I have to leave one to make a review' also Kairra was a horrible server and also said she isn't going to lose her job because of a bad review'! She forgot to put our drinks in and is running around like she doesn't know what's going on lol this place and service is a JOKE

I gave my two stars for service alone. The food and drinks were insanely underwhelming. We ordered drinks from the bar, and we paid for overpriced juice. The waffle sandwich was soggy and bland, the matzo ball soup was lukewarm, and the matzo ball lacked all flavor. The fried pickles were good, but everything else was just very subpar. Our waitress, Dee, was amazing, but we will not be back. They also charged us a 20% large party gratuity when it was 4 adults and 1 child. Place was super empty, I walked in to make a to go order and the server made it so dam complicated to make an order everything I asked he charged me extra for one small sandwich ended up being 25$ I just said forget it. And I walked out. The menu looked nice but they are doing the most there so I can't tell you if it's good or not because I didn't even get the food lol it wasn't worth the headache on what they made me go through to order
