Made an order on Yelp/GrubHub for two orders of street tacos and two beverages. Took 10 minutes to arrive at the pick up window. When we arrived they asked what the name for the order was and we gave them the name. A minute later they just shoved the food and one beverage at us and closed the window. They had forgotten to hand us the watermelon beverage so we kept calling out but no one answered, so my husband decided to go through the front to go ask for his missing beverage. Once we got home we saw that the tacos were cold... read more

Meh. One big meh. Pastrami was ok, didn't come out hot. Kids menu was pathetic. Luke warm French fries that my 5 year old wouldn't touch. Kids pizza was literally a soggy piece of bread smothered in congealed cheese. My toddler quite literally didn't take a single bite. Super disappointed because the restaurant itself is very nice, good patio, very very mediocre food. We will not return

The security guard was misogynistic and rude. I brought my backpack purse; he stopped me by putting his hand in my face and very pointedly looked at my male friend and said "excuse me sir, but we cannot allow backpacks in this establishment after hours." My male friend was not wearing backpack. I was. When I asked him why he was addressing my friend and not me, he looked at me as if I were the obtuse one in the situation and said "I was raised by my father, he and told me to only address the man when a man and woman are out ... read more

Katz's food seemed appealing from an online perspective however when I sat down and ate my (the original/pastrami sandwich) I immediately understood why other customers gave low reviews. The sandwich was parched and vapid ! Almost like bitting a cart board box the only thing that was worth the 50$ was the watermelon refresher. No despise to the staff (except the chef) the waitress and manager were lovely, Take from this what you will and make a better choice than me.

The pastrami is definitely not it. Meat was as dry as the bread. The waitress was nice. But when we asked if it could be toasted she said well that's not the sandwich you ordered but we showed her a pic of which one we wanted. Turns out it wasn't a signature sandwich but she saw what we wanted. She should've said something as our waitress in my opinion. The restaurant ambiance is nice, new, and very clean but they need to work on their food.

well I have to say I had high expectations based on my experiences in the past, but maybe there's been a change of management or kitchen staff. I was very disappointed in the Matzoball soup, which used to be wonderful. What I got today was nothing like the chicken soup I've had there before. Used to be made the old fashioned way with real chicken and all the nutrients. Today what I got is made with chicken flavored soup base and dried vegetable bits and much too much salt. Not even real chicken soup!

I ordered the corn beef on rye signature sandwich and my wife ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup. We ordered it vi Uber eats and it was cold. The fact that it was cold I can forgive but the bread was dented like someone squeezed it before it was placed in the package and the sandwich barely had any meat. The bread tasted kinda of stale too. My wife's so called soup was a two or two and a half ounce plastic container of soup. It was also cold. Her sandwich was okay. But I can't believe we paid $35 dollars plus $5 more fo... read more

Me and my son went to the Katz's near the Galleria. It's a nice looking restaurant and it was our first time there. I had been going to the one in Montrose for years. My son ordered a chicken sandwich which he enjoyed but me being in a Jewish deli ordered a corned beef sandwich on rye bread. Half of the sandwich had grizzle which I had to keep pulling out of the sandwich. You can't chew it. When the waiter came to bring our check I said there was a lot of grizzle in the sandwich. He didn't say a word, not a sorry or I... read more
