Dr. Kongara is super sweet and a great listener. Most doctors have never even heard of eosinophilic esophagitis, but she knew exactly how to diagnose and treat my condition. She is very knowledgeable and a great doctor. It might take a couple weeks to get an appointment, but she's worth the wait!
Dr. Kongara is literally my favorite doctor. Truly listens and interacts with me. Very knowledgeable and informative. Super encouraging. I have had IBS most of my life and intermittent GERDS. Both have diminished significantly under her care.
Dr. Kongara is not only a very educated gastrointestinal doctor but knows how to use the education to deliver excellent patient care. I was referred to Dr. Kongara shortly after she started practicing in Atlanta. During my first appointment with her she took the time to listen to me!!! With GURD and gastroparesis I feel very lucky to have Dr. Kongara as my physician.
Dr. Kongara and her PA, Kimberly Orleck, recently diagnosed me with chronic giardia. Six months prior to my diagnosis, I visited another Emory doctor who I explicitly instructed to test for pathogens and she only tested for h pylori and c difficile (!!!). They both have a great bedside manner, knowledgeable, extremely thorough. I could've cycled through 10 different gastros before finding one who FINALLY who took my symptoms seriously (aka not just ibs-d). I'm forever grateful.
My wife and I both see Dr. Kongara and we sing her praises to anyone looking for a gastroenterologist. We always say that we wish our other doctors were as great as her. She listens, she cares, she gets to the bottom of your issues leaving no stone unturned. We are so thankful for her.
I simply cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Kongara. From the minute she walked in the room, she was friendly, engaged, and genuinely interested and determined to help me. I've never felt compelled to write a review about a doctor before, but I've had trouble finding doctors I liked, and she was such a breath of fresh air! Smart, friendly and caring. She's the best!
My experience with Dr. Kongara was outstanding in every respect. She has excellent credentials including medical school teaching experience, numerous publications and professional honors as well as board certification. The procedure was seamless and easy. She explained everything thoroughly. She proactively asked about other conditions than the one she treated. Her follow up was excellent. Last but certainly not least, she is the most likeable physician I've ever met.
