We come to Reno for a couple of days several times a year just so we can treat ourselves to dinner at La Strada, with a glass of wine first at CinCins.
We had dinner before a show and the timing was perfect. The server attentive, the support staff kept water replenished. I had saltimbocca, which I love, but this was pretty dried out. My friend had their house-made ravioli and she said it was delicious, looked that way, too. By using the 50% coupon that came with the show tickets it was a deal, I think it would have been reasonable even without the 50% off. They have lots of tables so I doubt you'd ever have to wait. not the best italian restaurant but also not the worst we have experienced. Very pricey for the quality of the food. Cocktails absurdly overpriced. caprese disappointing. Vine ripened tomatoes? zero and I mean zero flavor. osso buco tremendous. the accompanying "risotto" not so much. Always get their signature mushroom ravioli- wanted to try something new. If there is a next time will stick with the ravs.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. It’s perfect for a special date night. There are very few gluten-free options, so that was challenging. But a good meal overall.
Keith ,our server ,went above and beyond to make our family dinner experience a 5 star plus! Keith made delicious suggestions, was prompt in the delivery of our food and provided excellent service during our meal. The mushroom ravioli appetizer was phenomenal and delicious, the osso bucco was very tasty, the meat literally fell off the bone, and the tiramisu was decadent. We live in the Chicago land area and always make a point of having dinner at La Strada when we are in the Reno-Tahoe area. We are usually out there every summer and sometimes in the fall. We love the food, it's always delicious and the wait staff is great. On a side note - we went to Roxy this year for steak. We were really disappointed last year when we heard Sterlings was closing and being replaced by Ruths Chris which we think is just OK.
