Like many of the reviews have mentioned, this park is beautiful and immaculately maintained - they take pride in their space. 5 stars for paved sites, well maintained and nice common areas and the spacious dog park! If you're traveling with adults only, would likely recommend due to close proximity to Main st. Unfortunately, this is not a place for kiddos or young families. Lantern Oaks RV Resort presents itself as a modern, upscale destination, but beneath the veneer of “luxury” lies a disturbing culture of arrogance and exclusion. The amenities are new, yes — but they became unusable to us because of the front desk staff’s condescending and belittling behavior. Their attitude made it abundantly clear that unless you fit a very narrow definition of “acceptable,” you were not welcome. Very noisy location! 50+ airplanes take off right over the park everyday. HWY 16 has lots of traffic noise starting at 5:30am. A construction materials yard is right next door and the heavy equipment with their back up beepers starts about 6:30am. Senior staff is rude. Front line staff are friendly.
We unfortunately did not enjoy our time at this RV resort. I would like to reassure readers that our kids were always within view and that our puppy did spend time quietly lounging outside (always being supervised as even when my husband ran errands I was home), but we were continually berated by emails, phone calls, and a constant parade of staff members on golf carts reprimanding us for every slight infraction. We went this weekend for spring break. Chose this park because we met them at an RV show in Dallas and were guaranteed they had a heated pool and hot tub. So we packed up and thought we’d give them a try. The park was super nice and clean but here were our issues. Biggest one being a heated pool and hot tub should be just that. If the pool is heated then kids should be able to swim in it when it’s 78 degrees outside. This pool was cold!! They said it was heated to 76 degrees. I do not consider that a heated pool.
