Lavo dental front desk said they were waiting approval for my Cleaning it took over 2 months and still no word back.. I had to go to another clinic and pay out of pocket.

I don't get it. I was waiting for my insurance coverage for my denta for more than 2 monthsl but the front desk said it was taking longer than. I had to pay for my Dental cleaning and and Porcelain at Dr. Zin diamond Dental in Woodland hills for over 5400 dollars with my mom's passing away money

Started off with a great receptionist, but the Dr himself no thank you. First off you don't turn away people with a dental emergency and tell them you cant work on the tooth without 400.00 down knowing your insurance covers dental emergencies. You can provide antibiotics, you can open up a tooth and clean up the infection without authorization as long as you have full x-rays in which they did. They would have gotten reimbursed. Reception staff is amazing and so sweet. I went to get a routine check up and cleaning. After waiting 2 hours, I had only had x rays done. That's fine, I didn't mind waiting. I was then told I had 2 cavities. I have never had a cavity before as I take good care of my teeth so I was a little thrown off. I waited around some more and was told I would have to wait another 30 or so minutes to be seen by the dentist. I ended up leaving before being seen again because I had to go to work. We visit this place looking forward for a extraction due a several pain and discomfort, at first everything was really nice but once the diagnostic was clear they desire the best way to go was the root canal, I want to clarify this first.. the customer is requesting to get an extraction for convenience and effectiveness, after we received the recommended action, we clearly expressed that we desire the extraction anyways but the didn't want to do that... I visited Dr. Shawn Matian at his Encino office for a consultation & I was later treated for a dental infection at his Northridge office (Northridge Dental.) An infection was diagnosed & Dr. Matian began a root canal. After the visit, I was in considerable pain. I was told that was normal after a root canal. I was concerned because I've had many other root canals & only had mild pain for a day or two. I waited a few months after I had seen a previous dentist to finally get to finding someone who was better in every single way, so my search began about a year ago on google then I found Dr Shawn Matian at northridge dental, (my friend had work done by him) so I asked who did it and it was the same dentist I found! This was my first visit at this office and I have to say this was not a good experience. I went in for a regular clean up and dental work, but since that day I have had nothing but pain. I waited for 3 weeks to see if the pain would go away and went back to the dental office 3 times. On the first, they said that there was cement residue left behind which is the cause of the pain (so that's their fault).
